who cares since it doesn’t harm him, if that is his only vice, be happy!

No, it’s a substitute. It’s like using a sugar substitute. He can slowly cut down on the amount of nicotine. It’s a safe way to quit smoking. It’s also a safe thing to be addicted to, instead of something that will kill him.

    yes.

    No actually its considered vaporing

They still have tobacco and nicotine? Then it is just the same as smoking “real” cigarettes.

  6. JC says:

They only contain nicotine but not tobacco. Way less carcinogens. Vaping is a better way …

I’d say he quit “tobacco smoking” and with that he has a greater chance of quitting overall by slowing reducing the nicotine in his cartridges down to zero …

    NO, its not smoking.

    Inflected Form(s): smoked; smokĀ·ing
    Date: before 12th century

intransitive verb 1 a : to emit or exhale smoke b : to emit excessive smoke
2 archaic : to undergo punishment : suffer
3 : to spread or rise like smoke
4 : to inhale and exhale the fumes of burning plant material and especially tobacco; especially : to smoke tobacco habitually

Vaping with an e-cig is not smoking as it does not fit the definition of “smoke”.
Nicotine is NOT a carcinogen, but is addictive just as caffeine is. Like caffeine, it also has its positive effects also and is being studied on treating things like ADHD and Parkinsons.

The intention of the e-cig is a reduced harm method of continuing to use nicotine for established smokers, a smoking alternative. MANY people are using it for that AND are slowing able to reduce their nicotine dependence to eventually give it up completley. The e-cig enables the user to maintain their addiction to nicotine but also gives the user the power to get off of it at their own pace in a more comfortable way. That may take some people weeks or years for other people. In the mean time they aren’t killing themselves with all the crap, tar, and carbon monoxide in tobacco AND they aren’t going through painful and distressing withdrawals.

So cut your brother some slack and support his efforts of getting off tobacco.
BTW – how addicted are you to caffeine? ….. just food for thought. LOL
